The agreement that Ullensvang municipality, together with the other Hardanger municipalities Ulvik, Eidfjord and Kvam, has entered into with Haukeland University Hospital on HMM Helsehjelp Ukraine involves a collection of measures and collections of funds. The funds will go to help in the war-torn Ukraine.
The first initiative is to collect NOK 350,000 for a car and a generator. Ullensvang’s part of this is NOK 154,000, according to the Hardanger Council model.
The municipal board unanimously decided last week to authorize the funds, in addition to a power of attorney to the mayor of up to NOK 200,000 for similar measures later in 2023.
The purpose of the power of attorney is to be able to respond quickly to any new enquiry.
The decision is in line with the recommendation to the councilor in the case. He considers that there are a number of serious and well-organized actors behind HMM Health Aid Ukraine. All support that is given must go to those who will be recipients of the funds.
