Mexican actress and radio and television presenter Talina Fernández died this Wednesday at the age of 78 in Mexico City due to complications in her health due to leukemia she suffered from, relatives reported.
Fernández was known for having been a popular presenter on Mexican television and for her conducting style, especially in programs on the Televisa network, which earned her the nickname “La dama del buen decir”.
Fernández’s son, Jorge “Coco” Levy, told the media, outside the hospital where he died, that his mother was hospitalized in an emergency, that he spent his last days “with the people he loved, thinking of love and affection for his family”, confirmed that he suffered from leukemia, and did not add more details about his death.

On social networks, Fernández’s colleagues, especially from the Televisa network, his home for many years, mourned his death and recalled that the reporter from that company was the one who confirmed the death of the then presidential candidate for the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). ), Luis Donaldo Colosio, on March 23, 1994, in the newscast hosted by the late Mexican journalist Jacobo Zabludovsky.
Fernández, whose full name was Catalina María del Sagrado Corazón Fernández, worked in October 2022 on the MasterChef Celebrity program.
The presenter, born in 1944 in Mexico City, stood out for her driving style and in recent years she has adapted to the new times and had her own YouTube channel, where she published interviews and told anecdotes about her personal life.
