But I have decided to treasure also the criticisms of the past. You know, when shopping like this often generates controversy. I also encountered some last year, when there was the skating rink in Milan. The commissioner at the time, Orsomarso, rightly explained that that intervention served to promote the image of Calabria in a more general plan for the promotion of our region in stations and airports. But last year’s criticisms, the controversies, I observed with great attention, and I treasured them. Many said ‘but why promote the image of Calabria with events taking place outside Calabria?’. Well, then I wanted to make sure that our image, that of Calabria, could be promoted in the rest of Italy with events accessible to the Calabrians. Just like New Year’s Eve, which will be a big party, with hundreds of artists, a party in which the Calabrians will participate, directly in the squares of Calabria, but also many Italians turning on their televisions to wait for midnight. And I also obtained from Rai the possibility of promoting the image of Calabria in around 100 television slots in the next two years. Important broadcasts such as ‘Camper’, ‘Linea Verde’, ‘Uno Mattina’, L’educazione, ‘Linea Blu’, in short, the entire Rai schedule will have a bit of Calabria inside.
