GERB may be ready to persuade for the election of the governor of the BNB, it became clear from the speech of the leader of the party Boyko Borisov in the parliament.
“If they want, there will be their nomination – there will be two and the parliament will choose. If they give a better candidate than Mitko… Let them take the BNB, if they want, let them take it,” he said on the sidelines of the National Assembly. The two formations in the cabinet could not agree on a single candidacy, with GERB nominating the previous head of the bank, Dimitar Radev.
GERB and PP-DB should discuss the budget together, correct the mistakes and jointly bear the responsibility for it, requested the leader of GERB Boyko Borisov.
“As far as the budget is concerned, in my opinion it is proper, and I said it to Mr. Petkov last night, it is proper for Asen Vassilev to come and introduce us to some topics first, to say what he thinks, why he thinks it, and if we do it and we support, to know why we are doing it. So I hope, and that’s why I will correctly not criticize the budget now. We have remarks about it, there are sectors that are excited about this budget,” said Borisov. He linked the topic of the budget with that of the coalition agreement between the governing partners.
“The lack of a coalition agreement, a mechanism, requires that we first talk to him and then, if the objections can be removed, to remove them and then together bear responsibility for this budget. That’s how I think we should act,” explained Borisov.

He explained that the current administration is the best for the state, despite the negatives for both formations.
