Weinviertler Je:damaun – 700 wine crates become the stage set

“I am so happy that we can draw on the cultural pearls of the Weinviertel for this year’s Je:damaun production,” says Roman Beisser: “In addition to Hubert Koci, I was able to win Elisabeth Heller for the direction, Christoph A. Fath for that stage design, Jürgen Ernstl for the lighting and Georg Hrauda for the good sound.” Roman Beisser himself is in charge of the overall management.

Christoph A. Fath has already presented a model of the stage design. Typical for the region, it consists of 700 wine crates. This year the play will be played lengthwise in the Reichensteinhof, so that the adjoining room, which is normally only used as an artist’s cloakroom, can be integrated into the play. This time Hubert Koci received the gallery for his orchestra.

Thanks to the negotiations between Mayor Josef Fürst and the state of Lower Austria, it was possible to keep the gym of the former agricultural college for the rehearsals for three months. Everything can be set up originally here, until the end of September when the stage moves to the original location, the historicism hall of the Reichensteinhof.

Director Elisabeth Heller is usually used to working with what is available: “Here with my friends Roman Beisser and Co. I can also express my wishes,” she says happily. There are also many Poysdorfers involved in the Je:damaun. Same, because great tried and tested, is actor Martin Berger as Je:damaun.

Tickets are available at Sparkasse Poysdorf and in all Sparkasse and Erste Bank branches, as well as via Ö-Ticket. The premiere is on Thursday, October 5th. Further events are on Friday 6th, Saturday 7th, Sunday 8th, Friday 13th and Saturday 14th October at 7.30 p.m. and on Sundays at 5.30 p.m. in the Reichensteinhof Poysdorf.
