In it, Slovak TA3 television presenter Rastislav Iliev openly criticizes the haters and political opponents of President Zuzana Čaputová and her decision not to run again for the position of head of state. Haters are just trying to get attention with their “mindless statements”. According to him and other supporters of Čaputová, it is clear that “she has done more for Slovakia in her four years in office than anyone else in 30 years”.

Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová has decided that she no longer intends to run for the presidency again in 2024. She did not give a specific reason for her decision, but she spoke about the difficult combination of work and personal life.
Slovak TA3 television presenter Rastislav Iliev, who a year ago a few days after the murder of two young people in front of Bratislava’s gay bar Tepláreň, declared himself to the LGBTG+ community in a live broadcast, commented on Čaputová’s departure on air.
The video of the footage is now circulating on the internet. According to Iliev, she was driven into a corner by human qualities such as envy, stupidity and hatred, he recalled the death threats that the president and her family face every day on social networks. “Especially because you, gays, then run to church for indulgences and all the manuals of the world praise us as an extremely friendly, open and warm-hearted nation, right?” the moderator criticizes the whole of Slovakia.

“Instead of Zuzana Čaputová’s political rivals condemning the threats, they trivialize them and, among other things, tell the president that she does not run away from the fight in difficult times,” he also leaned into Čaputová’s political rivals. He also names other messages that the president received, such as, for example, that when she went into politics, she should have expected it. Or, on the contrary, a reminder that other people also go to work and have problems. “Empathy tells you something?” Iliev fumed.
According to Iliev, it is clear to Čaputová’s supporters that Čaputová was able to do more for Slovakia in her four years in office than anyone else in the last three decades. The haters wish her all the worst, “but only because their egos have no ceiling,” the presenter said. “They just want to get attention with their mindless statements, and their achievement in life is that they managed to create an account on the conspiratorial Russian Telegram. Congratulations,” Iliev noted.
“Zuzana Čaputová considers her decision not to run repeatedly to be the most difficult in her life. She announced it at a time when she is trusted by the most people in Slovakia,” writes the moderator, up to over 40%. “And at least they thank you, Madam President, for a piece of good work. Welcome to politics,” moderator Iliev concluded his speech.
