A famous actress could build a completely different career.
In her youth, Agata Muceniece worked as a model. As soon as she graduated from school, she received a lucrative contract to shoot in Milan. This was the girl’s first job abroad – later she worked in other countries more than once, and lived in Germany for quite a long time on an exchange program.
It was in Germany that Agatha lived with a family that also spoke Chinese. Communicating with them, the young model learned Chinese well. After returning to Latvia, the girl entered the Faculty of Chinese Language and Literature. Muceniece could make a career in this field, but a year later she decided to move to Moscow and enter VGIK.
Many then considered the girl short-sighted – to drop out of school for the sake of a ghostly opportunity to become an actress – and dissuaded Agatha from the trip, including the head of the theater studio in which Agatha played as a child.
But Muceniece took a chance and did not lose – today she is known not only in her native Latvia, but throughout Russia.
