Passed under the flag of the owner of Chelsea, Strasbourg has just separated from Fréderic Antonetti. The coach leaves the club after saving it from relegation to the second division.
Frédéric Antonetti is no longer the coach of the RCSA. Bought by the owner of Chelsea, supported by the investment fund Clearlake Capital, one of the largest funds in the world, the Racing Club de Strasbourg separated from its trainer on Tuesday afternoon. Yet extended until 2024 after the Alsatian club remained in Ligue 1, Antonetti paid the price for the recent takeover of Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace. Not resentful, the Corsican technician wishes a bright future to his now former club in the columns of the team : “I am happy to have been able to train such a club. A new era is dawning, with the arrival of new investors who will provide the club with new resources. In this Ligue 1 in full mutation, which is undergoing profound upheavals, I wish them much success. The people of Strasbourg deserve it. I warmly thank Marc Keller, for whom I have great esteem, for these four months spent together. I am leaving with the feeling of having contributed to the sustainability of this prestigious club, which I am very proud of.”
