SHOT Welcomes Two New Offensive Players: Moussa Kone and Elias Havel

The SHOT announced two newcomers for the offensive on Tuesday. First comes Moussa Kone from the French second division club Nîmes Olympique, the club is relegated as the table penultimate. The 26-year-old Senegalese was already active for FC Zurich and Dynamo Dresden in the past, so according to a LASK broadcast he speaks German. Koné will be number 11 in Linz, while Marin Ljubičić will be number 9. “We’ve been watching Moussa for a long time and had him on our radar last summer. Due to his expiring contract, we made an effort to find him early and we’re very happy that he decided for the LASK,” explains the sports manager Radovan Vujanović.

The second newcomer is Elias Havel. The 20-year-old Austrian comes from FC Liefering, where the new LASK head coach Thomas Sageder last worked as an assistant. Havel scored nine goals and three assists in 29 appearances, for the ÖFB he was active in youth teams. Vujanović initially described Havel as a perspective player. “I find it very impressive what has happened here at LASK in recent years – from the Raiffeisen Arena to sporting development. That’s why I’m very happy to be part of the black and white family now. That I’m our head coach I already knew from my time in Liefering was of course one of the reasons for my move,” said the young striker about the transfer.

Both players come to LASK on a free transfer and each sign a contract until 2027.
