Borussia Dortmund’s second team managed to stay up in the 3rd division last season. One of the BVB pillars was associated with a farewell until the very end. Apparently it all comes down to BVB after an extension – including the chance to prove themselves to the professionals.
According to “Sky”, midfielder Ole Pohlmann will soon sign a new contract with runners-up Borussia Dortmund. His current working paper expires at the end of June.
In this case, the 22-year-old would decide against several offers that had landed on his desk in the past few weeks. According to the report, Pohlmann has attracted interest from abroad as well as from the 2nd Bundesliga.
According to “Sky”, BVB lures the Mindener with the prospect of even being able to gain a foothold in the professional squad under coach Edin Terzic. The black and yellow want to give Pohlmann the chance, they say.
Pohlmann convinces at BVB II
The “Ruhr Nachrichten” had already reported at the end of May that Borussia Dortmund was very interested in an extension with the game designer. BVB made an “attractive offer” to the central midfielder. Since Pohlmann could expect offers from other clubs due to the strong performances in the 3rd division, he first wanted to explore the situation.
Ole Pohlmann was initially trained in the youth department of Hannover 96 and then by VfL Wolfsburg. In the summer of 2021, he moved from the Wolves second team to BVB U23s on a free transfer. Since then, the four-time German U18 international has made 68 competitive appearances for Borussia.
In the past season alone, Pohlmann was able to impress with three goals and eight assists in 31 appearances. With the second representation of BVB, he made it to 13th place in the table.
