Tim Heinemann’s Impressive Start in the DTM Takes a Hit at Zandvoort

Tim Heinemann’s debut in the DTM could hardly have started better at the end of May: Two second places in the first and second DTM race of his career propelled the 25-year-old to the top of the overall standings after the first race weekend in Oschersleben. Accordingly, he had to moderate inquiries about winning the title. “It’s still very early to talk about overall victory,” said Heinemann in the run-up to the second DTM round at Zandvoort in the Netherlands. And as good as his start in the DTM was, this weekend went just as mediocre.
