Ganjar Pranowo’s Teachings on Responding to Bullying and Criticism

Former PSI politician Tsamara Amany has highlighted the teachings of PDIP presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo to his supporters. This comes after Ganjar’s action of calling the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, Heru Budi Hartono, in response to complaints from bullied residents in North Jakarta. Tsamara explained that Ganjar’s teachings emphasize not getting caught up in blame or bullying.

“Pak Ganjar’s teachings are always the same, you don’t have to look for or care about who is bullying or blaming each other,” Tsamara told reporters on Monday (26/6/2023).

Tsamara believes that Ganjar was surprised by the negative response he received after calling Heru. According to Tsamara, Ganjar’s intention was simply to help the residents.

“He was a bit surprised that he was being bullied because Mr. Ganjar’s intention was only to help the traders he met by connecting with the authorities,” said a supporter of Ganjar.

However, Tsamara stated that their party does not have a problem with Ganjar being bullied, as he is used to it.

“But if he’s being bullied, it’s okay to accept it. After all, Mr. Ganjar is used to being bullied. He always teaches all of us supporters to regard those who are being bullied as a source of criticism too. Who knows, there are good criticisms that we can take,” Tsamara explained.

Ganjar Pranowo himself admitted to being surprised by the number of negative comments he received after calling DKI Jakarta Provincial Government officials. The call was made after Ganjar heard complaints from residents during his visit to North Jakarta.

“This is just an ordinary public service matter. Because yesterday I came to one of the markets, I called the DKI Governor, I called the DKI Regional Secretary, who both of them happen to know, then uploaded it, why are you being bullied?” Ganjar said to reporters in Jati Padang, South Jakarta, on Sunday (25/6).

The traders at the Anyar Bahari Market in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, had complained about high monthly fees and losing business to online sales. Ganjar took action by trying to call the Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, but he was unable to speak for long as he was attending a wedding. Ganjar then contacted DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary (Sekda) Joko Agus to convey the residents’ complaints. Ganjar emphasized that his intention was solely to address the concerns of the residents.

It is worth noting that Ganjar’s actions have sparked discussions and debates among the public. However, Tsamara and Ganjar’s supporters remain steadfast in their belief in Ganjar’s intentions and teachings.
