The Dubai Urban Plan projects that the population will continue to grow, aiming to reach 5.8 million people by 2040. During peak hours, the population is expected to reach 7.8 million people, up from 4.729 million people at the end of 2022.

This represents about 2.864 million individuals, with males constituting 73% of the economically active population at 2.087 million people. The number of economically active females exceeds 777 thousand, representing 27% of the population.

The age group between 29 and 39 years old accounts for 60% of the economically active population, with 1.7 million young men and women. The economically active group includes individuals between the ages of 18 and 65, who are typically engaged in permanent or self-employment.

The number of individuals between 20-24 years old is approximately 278.5 thousand, with males accounting for 197.4 thousand and females around 81 thousand. The age group between 25-29 years old amounts to 588.5 thousand people, with 434.4 thousand males and 154 thousand females. The most numerous age group is between 30-34 years old, with 636 thousand individuals, of which 469.5 thousand are males and 166.6 thousand are females.

The data also reveals that Dubai has a significant population of individuals over the age of 65. The population over 75 years old stands at 11,559 people, with 5,611 males and 5,948 females. The age group between 70-74 years old consists of 9,216 individuals, including 4,603 males and 4,613 females. The age group between 65-69 years old exceeds 20 thousand, with 13.5 thousand males and 6,526 females.
