Hamburg, Germany – The Hamburg fire brigade responded to a distress call on Wednesday afternoon regarding a fire on a balcony in an apartment building on Schanzenstrasse. The emergency call was made to the hotline number 112, reporting the incident.

The rescue control center immediately dispatched the fire engine from the Rotherbaum fire and rescue station, as well as a fire truck from the Stellingen fire and rescue station, to the scene. Upon arrival, the first responders were met with the sight of flames and smoke engulfing the balcony of a fourth-floor apartment. Without hesitation, the firefighters initiated a firefighting attack using a turntable ladder and an interior attack team equipped with respiratory protection.
