Kia Seltos Facelift Set to Arrive in India in July
Kia fans have been eagerly awaiting the facelift of the popular Kia Seltos, and the wait is finally coming to an end. South Korean manufacturers have announced that the facelifted Seltos will be launched in India on July 4, 2023.
The Kia Seltos has gained immense popularity in the highly competitive midsize SUV segment. Many were expecting to see the new Seltos showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo, but unfortunately, the SUV was nowhere to be found at India’s biggest display event.
Similar to the global model, the new Seltos facelift will feature changes in both its exterior and interior layout. Additionally, there will be updates to the powertrain options. Speaking of exterior changes, the facelifted Kia Seltos will sport a redesigned front fascia with a tweaked front grille, updated LED daytime running lamps, fog lamps, and revised headlamps.
The front bumper will also receive a new look with a redesigned skid plate. On the side profile, the vehicle will be equipped with a new set of alloy wheels. At the rear, the facelift model will feature tweaked LED tail lamps with an LED connecting light bar that spans the width of the boot lid.
Reports suggest that the cabin layout of the new Kia Seltos facelift will also differ from the current model. The new model will have a new cockpit layout for the instrument console and touchscreen infotainment system. The instrument console will be an all-digital unit, while the center console will be revised with new controls for the audio system and climate control.
Automatic versions of the facelifted Seltos may come with a rotary knob-style transmission lever, similar to the international model. The facelifted model will retain the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 115 PS and the 1.5-liter diesel engine producing 115 PS. However, the current 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine will be replaced by a new 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine.
Following Hyundai’s move to remove the 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine from the Creta’s lineup in 2023, Kia is expected to do the same and discontinue the current model. According to reports, the new 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine will continue to be offered with both a six-speed manual and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The engine is said to produce 160 PS of maximum power and 253 Nm of peak torque.
Kia is riding high on its success in early 2023, with better sales figures and positive reception for models in its Indian portfolio, including the Sonet, Seltos, Carans, and the Carnival premium MPV.
The arrival of the facelifted Kia Seltos is highly anticipated by fans, and it is expected to further strengthen Kia’s position in the competitive SUV market.

The Seltos has already been a success story for Kia, becoming one of the best-selling SUVs in its segment. With the facelift, Kia aims to offer customers an even more appealing package with a refreshed design and enhanced features.
