Apple will open a new Apple Store in London this Thursday.
In the next four years, Apple is planning up to 50 new stores worldwide. Among others in India, Malaysia, Paris, Miami and Shanghai.
Apple Battersea is located at Battersea Power Station. This is an old coal-fired power station that has been converted into a shopping center and has now of course been shut down.
Battersea is famous for being the backdrop for the cover of Pink Floyd’s Animals album. The work appeared in 1977. The cover features a large floating pig between the two chimneys of the power plant.
