Department of Motor Vehicles Introduces Regional License Plates for New York State

The Department of Motor Vehicles launches the first in a series of 10 regional license plates.

You’re probably familiar with the New York common license plate, but now DMV Commissioner Mark Schroeder has announced the launch of our city’s newly redesigned regional license plate.

The plaque features an image of the World Trade Center and Lower Manhattan.

The series will represent each of the 10 regions of New York State.

Plates for the additional nine regions will be announced and available for purchase throughout June.
