Ukrainian Armed Forces Launch Counteroffensive, Liberating Multiple Settlements from Russian Invaders

The defense forces continue to resist enemy assaults in the Avdiivka direction. In particular, the enemy is actively defending in the Berdyansk direction, trying to neutralize the offensive actions of Ukrainian units.

Over the past day, the Russians attacked Ukrainian positions in the Taurida direction 20 times and carried out 559 attacks.

“The Russian invaders continue assault operations in order to capture Maryinka and create conditions for the capture of Avdiivka. The enemy stormed with the task of capturing the platoon strongholds of the first echelon, attacked with assault groups. In the city of Maryinka, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks,” Shershen explained.

Counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have stepped up offensive operations in the Berdyansk direction. In particular, the soldiers liberated several settlements in the west of the Donetsk region and the east of the Zaporozhye region.

According to Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar, over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have advanced from 200 to 500 meters in different sections of the Bakhmut direction. In the Zaporozhye direction – from 300 to 350 meters.

Meanwhile, as of the morning of June 13, seven settlements in Zaporozhye and Donetsk regions were liberated, namely:

• Novodarovka;
• Boring;
• watchdog;
• Makarov;
• Blessed.
