Review of the Asus VivoBook 16X OLED – Specs, Performance and Price

The Asus VivoBook 16X OLED launched last year is now being sold for a third cheaper than when it came to the market. You can buy a laptop with a 16″ display and 16 GB of RAM for 16 thousand. You can choose two models for this price.

In Alza, there is a variant with a six-core processor Ryzen 5 5600H for CZK 15,992CZC has a version with an octa-core Ryzen 7 5800H for CZK 16,191. We would rather recommend this one, it also has more powerful integrated graphics and the extra charge is not even worth talking about. Everywhere else, these VivoBooks are several thousand more expensive.

The main attraction is the display. OLED with nice colors, fast response and relatively high brightness (up to 550 nits in HDR peaks), plus a fine resolution of 3840 × 2400 px. But high resolution and OLED are usually also battery life killers. However, according to foreign tests, Asus can comfortably last up to ten hours during office work.

The performance will be very good, although long since surpassed. The processor with Zen 2 cores will still be enough for more demanding users, 16 GB of RAM and a fast 512 GB SSD (can be upgraded) will please. On it we find Windows 11 Home.

The keyboard is backlit, has Czech labels and a numeric pad. Below it are a large multi-touch touchpad and a fingerprint reader. The connector equipment includes USB-A 2.0, 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, HDMI 1.4 and a combined headphone and microphone jack. It is charged with a classic pin. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.3 are a matter of course. All this fit into a body measuring 358 x 248 x 20 mm and weighing 1.88 kg.
