A large forest fire ravages a forest area in Vestby. Almost 300 acres of forest in a newly established logging field in Garder have been affected by the fire.
It is almost 19 hours since the emergency services received a report of a forest fire in Vestby in Viken.

The incident leader at the scene said on Tuesday evening that the fire had affected around 280 acres of forest, duty manager Lars Erik Robertsen in East 110 central told NTB on Wednesday morning.
The fire crews, in collaboration with the Civil Defense and the Red Cross, will continue the extinguishing work throughout the day on Wednesday,
– We have also received good help from farmers in the area, says Robertsen.
Two forest fire helicopters have also been deployed in the extinguishing work. There must not be an immediate danger to the buildings in the area.
