US Stock Market Update: Dow Jones, S&P 500, Nasdaq Record Fractional Increases; Oracle Impresses in Q4 Results; Oil Sector Stocks Recover

Major US stock indexes record fractional increases.

At 19.50 the Dow Jones was up 0.56% to 34,258 points, while the S&P500 gained 0.79% to 4,373 points. Plus sign also for the Nasdaq (+0.85% to 13,576 points).

Good day for Oracle (+1.09% to 117.7 dollars); after the release of the financial results for the 4th quarter of 2022/2023, the period closed with revenues and earnings per share better than the consensus of analysts.

Stocks in the oil sector are recovering, after the price of crude oil in New York (contract expiring in July 2023) recovered to 69.5 dollars a barrel. Chevron and ExxonMobil rallied 1.35% and 0.45%, respectively.
