Lars Olden Larsen, 24, was one of several golden heroes in Häcken during last year’s season. This season too, he has shown his forefoot in the Allsvenskan. In twelve series appearances, the Norwegian has accounted for five goals and five assists.
Now he has done his part at Hisingen. Häcken announces that Olden Larsen is leaving after 1.5 seasons.
– It is tough to leave with the European Games around the corner, but I had to make a choice. The supporters have supported me through thick and thin. I am eternally grateful for all the support and will never forget the Häcken family, he says in a statement on Häcken’s website.
According to Voetbal International (VI), Dutch NEC Nijmegen is working on bringing in the 24-year-old and the information states that there are ongoing talks between the parties.
– I can’t comment on that, says Olden Larsen to the Football channel.
Have you decided on the future?
Olden Larsen was loaned by Häcken from Nizhny Novgorod. The Norwegian used the opportunity to pause his Russian contract, which is a temporary provision from Fifa and it currently extends until next summer.
The fence had been clear that they wanted to keep the Norwegian, but that will not be the case.
– Lars is a skilled soccer player and a nice fellow that we are grateful and happy to have had with us for almost 1.5 years. A historic period in the club’s history that Lars was very much involved in and contributed to. Now we wish him the best of luck in his new club and welcome back in the future, says Häcken’s sporting director, Martin Ericsson, in a statement on the website.
NEC Nijmegen finished twelfth in the Eredivisie this season. Häcken is third in the Allsvenskan.
