Cyclist seriously injured in Batilly car collision – latest news and updates

A collision between a car and a cyclist seriously injured this Tuesday, June 13, in Batilly. A car hit a septuagenarian riding a bicycle at the junction between the D13 and the D13D, at the level of the treatment plant, in the early afternoon.

The firefighters of Val de l’Orne, as well as those of Jarny, called around 2 p.m., intervened with an ambulance and a van. They were joined by the Smur de Briey and the Conflans-en-Jarnisy police. They had to trigger the SAMU helicopter to transport the seriously injured cyclist to Nancy hospital. The driver of the car, alone on board, was not taken to hospital. Traffic was alternated during the intervention, then cut off while the helicopter took off. The rescue operation ended around 3 p.m.
