Motion of censure against Elisabeth Borne rejected by National Assembly

The new motion of censure of the Nupes of the government of Elisabeth Borne, the 17^e filed against him, was rejected on Monday June 12, exactly one year after the 1^is round of the 2022 legislative elections by the National Assembly. With 239 votes in favour, 50 were missing for it to be adopted. Not really a surprise even if Andrée Taurinya, LFI deputy from Saint-Etienne, seemed to believe it after reading a very brief press release expressing her disappointment and sent to the editorial staff on Monday evening. None of the country’s LR deputies, some of whom had voted for the last motion in March, would have voted for it this time, to the chagrin of the Loire parliamentarian: “I am today the only member of the Loire to have voted for the motion of censure of the government of Elisabeth Borne. Because of the LR deputies, it was rejected by a few votes. » It is in any case not “the fault” of the RN deputies, who would have all voted censorship according to the national press. More decisive contribution – they are 87 to the assembly + a relative against 59 LR – not mentioned by Andrée Taurinya.
