Next Thursday, June 15, the vaccination campaign against rabies launched by the Department of Animal Health and Protection of the City Council of l’Alfàs del Pi, in collaboration with the five veterinary clinics of the municipality, ends. An annual campaign aimed at dogs, cats and ferrets, in order to ensure their permanent protection against this disease.
The campaign, from which the residents of the municipality can benefit, is carried out at Veter Salud La Creu, El Valle Veterinary Clinic, Marina Baixa Veterinary Hospital, Vet Movil Albir Veterinary Center and PlayAlbir Veterinary Clinic. The price of the service is 20 euros and includes the anti-rabies vaccine and deworming of the animal.
In order to benefit from this campaign, it is necessary to bring the documentation of the pet. In addition, both dogs and cats must have an identification microchip implanted.
Giving your dog, cat or ferret the rabies vaccine, apart from being a legal requirement, is an act of responsibility to prevent your pet from getting infected, from infecting you or your family and avoiding possible outbreaks.
