Headset Apple Vision Pro gliding at a price of USD 3,499 or around Rp. 52 million. Even for Elon Musk who have a myriad of money, that price is still very expensive.
Musk made several insinuations for the Apple Vision Pro through his tweets. Initially, he uploaded a meme mocking the price of the Vision Pro, which was considered too expensive.
As quoted from Insider, Tuesday (13/6/2023) the meme compares Apple’s newest headset to a bag of magic mushrooms which can have a hallucinatory effect if consumed. The meme read: “Apple $3,500 augmented reality VS. $20 augmented reality.”
Musk then uploaded another meme, featuring a headset in a similar shape to the Apple Vision Pro. This meme seems to be more satirical to headset users who prioritize their virtual world.
Apple launches headsets Vision Pro last week. However, Apple’s latest product is actually greeted with scorn from many people because the price is considered unreasonable.
When Apple announced this mixed reality headset, the audience attending the Worldwide Developer Conference keynote speeches responded to the price with groans and laughs.
Musk nor is it the only tech luminary to mock the Vision Pro headset. Not long after this product was announced, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg also called the Vision Pro too expensive and the battery was too big.
In an internal meeting at the Meta headquarters, Zuckerberg compared the price of the Vision Pro with the Quest 3 headset that Meta will release. The headset is priced at USD 499 which Zuckerberg says will attract more users than the much more expensive Vision Pro.
