Tyler Herro Returns from Injury to Help Miami Heat Fight for NBA Finals Victory Against Denver Nuggets

The Miami Heat could count on their guard Tyler Herro, out until now due to injury in the NBA Finals, for the fifth game this Monday, which they are required to win to prevent the Denver Nuggets from lifting the title.

Herro, the Heat’s third leading scorer this season, injured his right hand in the playoff opener against the Milwaukee Bucks on April 16.

The shooter had to undergo surgery and was recovering against time while his team broke all the forecasts by reaching the Finals after eliminating the Bucks (4-1), Knicks (4-2) and Celtics (4-3).

Now the Heat are on the verge of elimination against the Nuggets trailing 3-1, which only one team (the Cavaliers in 2016) has overcome in Finals history.

Faced with this situation, Miami placed the “questionable” tag on Herro for the first time this Monday for the fifth game, which indicates the possibility of him playing.

According to ESPN, Herro still has discomfort in his operated hand but, with his team on the ropes, he is expected to put on his Miami uniform at the Ball Arena in Denver this Monday and try to play.

Herro, 23, averaged 20.1 points per game this regular season, behind only Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo on the Heat, as well as 5.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists.

The guard, winner in 2022 of the Best Sixth Man award, is a fundamental piece for Miami in the creation of offensive play and outside shooting.
