Neymar Jr, Paris St Germain striker and friend of Lionel Messi, confirms in an interview with ESPN Brazil that he already knew the esteemed soccer superstar was heading to Miami prior to his official announcement. Messi intends to ply his trade in the United States after his contract with French champions, PSG, expires at the end of June. Neymar Jr speaks highly of his relationship with Messi and believes the Argentine’s arrival will make the league more popular in the USA. Fellow athlete and six-time NBA All-Star, Jimmy Butler, expresses his support for Messi’s move to Inter Miami and his belief that the World Cup champion will elevate soccer in the States.
