Argentine football player Lionel Messi was detained by border guards at the airport in China due to lack of a visa. According to the portal Daily Sportthe athlete arrived in China for a friendly match with the Australian team.

As a result, the Argentinean had to stay at the airport for two hours in order for the migration service to issue him a special urgent visa.

The match between the national teams of Argentina and Australia will be held on June 15.

Earlier, Messi, who has been playing for PSG since 2021, announced a move to American Major League Soccer club Inter Miami, owned by former England international David Beckham.
