All Four Children Found Alive in the Amazon Forest Five Weeks After Colombia Plane Crash

Bogota: General Pedro Sánchez, head of the Joint Special Operations Command (CCOES) of the Colombian Armed Forces, which led the operation, said that it was a combination of knowledge and military art that saved the children trapped in the Amazon jungle.

He said that they are always saving and protecting lives, AFP reported.

“We always save and protect lives. But this was a different battle. We had no option but to abandon this mission and fail. The well-trained Colombian army was achieving the impossible,’ he said.

CCOES is the force equivalent of the US Special Operations Command, which includes the famous Green Berets and Delta Force. It was formed in 2007. CCOES works on the motto of Union, Integrity and Success.

All four children missing from the Colombia plane crash have been found alive in the Amazon forest by CCOES. The children were found five weeks after the accident.

The soldiers found the children near the border in Colombia’s Caqueta-Guavier province, near where the accident happened. President Gustavo Petro announced the news of the discovery of the children on Twitter saying that it is good news for the country.
