Ecky Listiantho was charged with premeditated murder of Angela Hendriati W. Ecky is said to have mutilated Angela’s body in South Jakarta (Jaksel) in 2019 and brought pieces of her body to Bekasi and was only found 3 years later, namely in 2022.
This was revealed by the prosecutor in the indictment against Ecky which was read out at the Cikarang District Court, Bekasi, Monday (12/6/2023). Cikarang District Court Public Relations spokesperson, Isnandar S Nasution, said that Ecky and his lawyers did not raise any objections to the prosecutor’s indictment.
“Earlier when reading the indictment, the judge asked the defendant and legal counsel if there were any objections, apparently there were none. Since there were no objections from the defendant and lawyers, the trial will continue with the agenda for examining witnesses by the prosecutor next week,” said Isnandar.

June 25, 2019
Ecky strangled Angela to death in Angela’s apartment. Ecky then tried to cover up the murder by placing coffee grounds, opening the apartment window open and leaving the air conditioner on to prevent the stench of Angela’s corpse from spreading.
July 2019
Ecky made a letter of sale and purchase agreement for the apartment unit under his hand in which it was as if Angela had sold her apartment unit to Ecky. The letter contains Angela’s forged signature.
Still in July 2019, Ecky was contacted by Angela’s relative, GB Indrardjo Kusumo W, who asked where Angela was. Ecky, who had killed Angela, said she did not know and admitted that she last saw Angela in mid-June.
Ecky then took money from Angela’s account. The total money taken by cash withdrawals and transfers using ATMs amounted to IDR 130 million.
Four weeks after Angela died, Ecky returned to the apartment and found a decomposing body. Ecky then tried to put Angela’s body in a container box in the warehouse.
But the corpse can not enter entirely. Ecky then bought a saw and paint stripper. After that, Ecky started cutting Angela’s corpse into several pieces.
Ecky mutilated for a week. The mutilations started with the legs. Each small piece goes straight into the plastic container.
Meanwhile, the large pieces are placed in a black trash bag before being placed in a plastic container. Ecky then put the soil and coffee in and tightly closed the plastic container. The plastic container containing Angela’s body parts was then left in the apartment.
December 2019
Ecky rented a house in Bekasi City. He then brought two plastic containers containing Angela’s corpse and a suitcase filled with Angela’s clothes to the rented house. Ecky does not live in the rented house and only comes once a month to check on the condition.
January 2020
Ecky made an advertisement for renting Angela’s foreclosed apartment. The apartment was then occupied by tenants in March 2020 with a rental price of IDR 70 million per year.
June 2020
Ecky began to process documents for changing the ownership of the apartment unit through the notary and the court. Ecky also presented a fake witness who appeared to be present when there was an apartment sale and purchase between Ecky and Angela.
