The 60th edition of the race gathered more than 20,000 runners, between the headquarters of the daily newspaper Ultimas Noticias in southern Quito, and the Atahualpa Olympic Stadium in the north of the South American capital, located at an altitude of 2,850 meters above sea level.
The Bolivian race title was won by Hector Garibay in the men’s race with a time of 45 minutes and 7 seconds, and Peruvian Rocio Cantara in the women’s race with a time of 52 minutes and 27 seconds.
