Ten years ago, Uber started in Zurich and was the first city in Switzerland. Since then, more than 1.4 million people have used the app to book a trip in the city on the Limmat. For many people in Zurich, the app has established itself as an alternative to private cars and as a useful addition to public transport. As Uber reports, a quarter of the city’s population now uses the app every month.
As a thank you, Uber launched a competition. All users who book a ride with the Uber app in Zurich in June 2023 will be raffled off for numerous ride vouchers and free rides with the Uber app for a year.
