According to the US Geological Survey (US Geological Survey), a 6.2-magnitude earthquake hit Hokkaido, Japan this evening.
The strong earthquake occurred in the Hokkaido area at 6:55 p.m. local time in Japan, but the Japan Meteorological Agency did not issue a tsunami warning.
A man on duty in the office recalled his feelings of the earthquake. He said, “Suddenly there was a violent vertical vibration, which lasted about a minute. Fortunately, no items fell from the shelves, and the windows and glass were not broken.”
