According to Abdoul Karim Sango, “ I noticed that culture is being neglected by the youth. That’s why I had the idea to write this novel because I want to save the culture of my country. After being Minister of Culture, I relied on these ministerial experiences to realize my dream”.

Sango paid tribute to Bishop Anselme Titianma Sanon and Imam Siaka Sanon of the great mosque of Dioulasso-bâ, sponsors of the dedication ceremony. He says he considers them a source of inspiration.

I rubbed shoulders with him a lot when he came to Bobo-Dioulasso as Minister of Culture. When he came to the Guinguetta, he respected everyone, from the biggest to the smallest.
