A woman has been in the spotlight after becoming pregnant and giving birth every year for 12 years. Currently, the woman named Courtney Rogers already has 12 children at the age of 38 consisting of 6 sons and 6 daughters.
The woman who lives in New Mexico, United States of America, revealed that it is not easy to raise 12 children. Even though she has to take care of her children and do housework alone, she still enjoys her life as a housewife.
“It really feels like something special,” Courtney said, quoted from Brightside.
Courtney and her husband, Chris Rogers, who is the pastor of the church live on a 12-acre ranch. She has been a mother for 12 years.
He admitted that the longest time interval for not getting pregnant was only seven months. While the farthest distance with her child is 20 months, because she had a miscarriage.
Courtney said she would feel weird not having another baby.
“The pregnancy treated me well, I was never sick or bedridden, so I was always able to take care of the kids. I was happy to have a baby,” she continued.
Having such a large family was a challenge for Courtney and her family. He has to save money to be able to meet the needs of everyday life, such as not buying luxury goods.
In addition, this family also applies the “no spend January” rule, which prohibits buying anything except basic food ingredients. They also have a ‘Meatless Monday’ rule, meaning Courtney only cooks vegetarian food to keep it cheaper.
Courtney said this had to be done because it would cost a lot for celebrations, Christmas holidays, until the new year.
“No outings cost money and no fun purchases are allowed such as toys and home decor,” he said.
