He has been away from his cinema lover for a long time since he presented the movie “From 30 Years” with his friend, director Amr Arafa, and written by Ayman Bahgat Qamar, to return as a guest of honor in the movie “The Corridor” in 2019 with the character of an officer, and since that time he did not meet his lover except in the last small holiday season. Through the movie “13 Days”, which he confirmed in his interview with Al-Arabiya.net that he got his role in this movie by chance or in a more precise sense, as the star Sherif Mounir said, “Rizq and Share”, which he revealed, and about the details of his participation and role in this work. Which is the first 3D movie in Egypt and the Arab world, and he talked about his new work in cinema and television drama.

Day 13

* Tell us about the experience of the movie “Day 13”, especially since you have been away from the cinema since 2019?

“Day 13” is a new and different experience that I have not presented before, as it is the first 3D and horror film, and it was presented with great capabilities, and the producer and director Wael Abdullah is considered an addition to the film as a screenwriter, director and producer. We were tools under his hands, and I love working with him very much, despite From my fear of the idea that it is the first 3D movie and that it will not be broken, but it came out in a distinctive way.

What about your role in the movie?

There is a comic narration in the role that I presented in the film, because the role that I played in the film was not my role, I was offered another role, and when I read it, I did not find myself in it, so I apologized to him, and told him that there is a role for Dr. Qaisoun that I liked, but the director Wael Abdullah told me that this The role will be presented by Muhammad Shaheen, so I told him, then, that there is no share in this work, and that there will definitely be another job, and I apologized for the work. And indeed, I presented it, and this is a livelihood and a share, and if the role was presented by Muhammad Shaheen, he would have presented it better than me because he is an able actor.

* And how did you find the reactions to the character of Dr. Qaisoun and the movie?

I am very happy with the audience’s reactions to the film and the reasons for the role I played. It was released at a special and appropriate time for it, and it achieved satisfactory revenues for all its industries. All people are happy with the film because it is a new experience.

* And do the movie revenues determine its success in the small holiday season?

Revenue numbers can usually be judged after the end of the Eid days, as the demand for all films is high at that time, but after the Eid, the real quality of the work appears or not, and a good movie achieves high revenues, as happened with Day 13, which tops the box office daily even after the end of the Eid season.

Did you face many difficulties while working on this film?

Indeed, the film faced many difficulties, especially with the emergence of Corona about 3 years ago, so I was offered the role and they started filming 10 days ago, so I faced the problem of lack of time before filming my scenes, as I did not have enough time to prepare for the character, so I tried to achieve a balance in the personal characteristics of the role. until I present it.

But the result was dazzling for all of us, and I am proud of the idea of my participation in this film, which is the first experience of a 3D movie in Egypt. The work, which provided us with a suitable atmosphere for filming and did not skimp on the production of the work, especially since we finished filming the movie just before the outbreak of the Corona virus, which caused the disruption of its montage, which required traveling abroad at a time when travel was prohibited.

What was going on behind the scenes?

Although the film is classified as a horror film, there were many comical situations between me and the artist Ahmed Dawoud and the artist Dina El-Sherbiny, and he worked on their fear most of the time to reduce the tension within the filming location.

Is there a series, and why do we love Tani (Karim Fahmy, Yasmine Abdelaziz, and Sherif Mounir)

* Are you currently preparing to film the “Wishlist” series?

Indeed, it is an initial name for the series that is directed by Tariq Refaat, and written by Amani Al-Suwaisi, and all the final details of the work will be examined during the next few days, as a list of the names of the actors is drawn up to contract with them, and the work force is scheduled to be announced soon, and the rest of the details will be announced during The coming period, and I am happy to repeat the cooperation with director Tariq Refaat after the old rental series.

Will it be shown outside Ramadan, and is there another project for Ramadan?

It will be outside the Ramadan season, but I hope to run the next Ramadan race with a new work, especially since I have been away from Ramadan drama for nearly three years, so the last series I presented was “We Love Tani Les” with Yasmine Abdel Aziz and Karim Fahmy.

* And what about the cinema after the movie “Day 13”?

I am waiting for the movie “The Squadron” to be shown in theaters during the blessed Eid Al-Adha season, and it is expected that it will receive high viewership rates and generate high revenues, especially as it tells a true story about the heroics of the armed forces.

Tell us about the movie, its scenes, and your character in it?

Through him, I embody the character of Sherif Al-Masry, the Air Force Commander, who is one of the main roles in the work, and the film took a long time, nearly two years between its preparation and filming, and the events of the film revolve within a framework of excitement and suspense, around the story of a number of events that the region went through throughout the period In the past, and the way state agencies confronted terrorist groups, most notably the success of the Air Force in striking ISIS strongholds in Libya, after 20 Egyptians were killed in the famous incident.
