Playing children found two mummified cats on Friday in the woods near the Oosterbosbad in Barneveld, Gelderland. The cats belonged to different owners and had been lost for a few weeks.
Police believe the cats were killed by someone “who was bothered” and later left them in the woods.
It is not known when the cats were put in the forest. This may have been earlier than Friday. The community police officer asks if people who know, saw or heard something want to report to the police.
