Jakarta –
Lionel Messi reportedly not going to join the group Argentina national team to Indonesia. What’s the reason?
Albiceleste against Indonesian National team on June 19 2023 at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Central Jakarta. Prior to that, Lionel Scaloni’s team challenged Australia in a match that took place in Beijing, China, Thursday (15/6/2023).
Several Argentine players arrived in China on Saturday (10/6/2023), using a private jet. When entering the immigration section of the airport, Messi encountered a problem.
From the video circulating on social media, it can be seen that Messi and several Argentine players are holding passports in front of the immigration counter with a number of officers approaching him. Several reports said that La Pulga had problems with his passport.
The immigration process seems to take a long time. A photo shows Angel Di Maria sitting on the floor and Messi looking down while leaning his body on the counter.
In the end, the problem was resolved even though there was no report regarding an explanation. Messi et al. have started practicing in China.
After experiencing difficulties getting into China, Messi reportedly did not come to Jakarta to fight the Indonesian national team. ESPN Argentina journalist Leo Paradizo said this on his personal social media.
Leo Paradizo did not explain why La Pulga did not join the Argentina national team against Indonesia.
“Exclusive information: Messi is expected to only play the first match against Australia and he will not go to Indonesia for the match on June 19,” wrote Paradizo on his Twitter account.
