Ted Kaczynski, also known as the Unabomber, has been found dead in a North Carolina prison. From the late 1970s he sent letter bombs to universities and airports to protest against industrialization.
Kaczynski held the United States in its grip for years through the letter bombs he sent. In 1998, he was sentenced to life in prison for killing three people and injuring more than twenty others. He sent the letter bombs between the late 1970s and the 1990s.
In 2021, Kaczynski was already struggling with health problems. Reported his death ABC News Saturday night according to a spokesman for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. It is not known what caused his death.
Before Kaczynski was identified as the Unabomber in 1995, he demanded that newspapers publish a long manuscript of his. He threatened to continue with the letter bombs if that did not happen. From math teacher to Unabomber
After years of searching, he was caught by a tip from his brother and his wife. They recognized Kaczynski’s ideas in the published manuscript, so the family contacted the FBI.
In the manuscript, which is by Kaczynski Industrial Society and Its Future was mentioned, he aimed his arrows at the industrialization of society. He thought the industrial revolution was a disaster for humanity. He conducted his terror campaign from a remote cabin in the US state of Montana.
He sent the first letter bomb to the University of Chicago. After the explosion, the FBI soon set up a task force to investigate. Finally worked well 150 people full time to the investigation of the Unabomber. That quest became the subject of Netflix series Manhunt: Unabomber.

The Unabomber was so named because it mainly targeted universities and airlines. In his eyes, they destroyed nature through the development of modern technology. The first three letters of Unabomber are derived from ‘university and airline bomber’.
After the FBI arrested Ted Kaczynski, he went on trial in Sacramento, California. He pleaded guilty to murder in exchange for life in prison without parole. Before sending the letter bombs, he worked as a math teacher.
