However, in addition to Lee Hye-joo, Choi Soo-bin (pseudonym) and Lee Hye-joo’s husband lived together in the house where Ka-gae died. While Choi Soo-bin ran a chat room where she shared her child’s diet, she became acquainted with Lee Hye-joo and helped her like a trustworthy older sister, she said. Her biological mother, Lee Hye-ju, escaped her husband’s child abuse and took Ga-gae to the house of Soo-bin Choi, who lives in Busan, around September 2020. Lee Hye-joo and Choi Soo-bin, Choi’s husband and two children lived together in a small 16-pyeong apartment with Ga-gaeul in a strange way. Lee Hye-joo stated during the police investigation, “The Choi couple has nothing to do with Ga-gaeul’s death.”
The investigation revealed shocking facts. From a few months after her biological mother Lee Hye-joo moved into Choi Soo-bin’s house until her Ga-gai passed away, she had engaged in prostitution three to four times a day on average for a year and a half, she said. It was so frequent that she could not live her daily life. Surprisingly, Lee Hye-joo’s 130 million won money was transferred to Choi Soo-bin, her housemate. Lee Hye-joo herself did not have tens of thousands of won in her hands or a proper mobile phone. Even when she was having a seizure right before Ga-gae died, she did her chores that Soo-bin Choi had asked her to do and she took care of her child, Ha-won, and she said that she did.
Lee Hye-joo, who claimed that Soo-bin Choi had nothing to do with the abuse and death of Ga-gul, belatedly overturned his statement. She said that when Ga-gae ate food secretly, she told Choi Soo-bin to correct her discipline, and she even beat Ga-eul herself. did.
