Exploring Post-War Art: Monz Collection Exhibition in Altach with Live Music Performances

Painting, graphics and sculpture from the post-war period – works from the Monz Collection of the municipality of Altach can be seen from June 9 to July 9, 2023 in the KOM in Altach – concerts as an accompanying programme

Since studying in Vienna in the post-war years, the tax consultant Manfred Monz, 1921-2012, was familiar with a large number of Austrian artists: from Adolf Frohner and Linde Waber to Walter Khüny and Hans Neunhäuser. Towards the end of an eventful life, he handed over the pictures and sculptures he had collected to the community of Altach.

The exhibition in the KOM is a cross-section of the art of the decades after 1945. It makes it clear what wealth the work and imagination of artists means for the general public.

Duration of the exhibition: June 9 to July 9, 2023, opening hours: Fri. 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., Sat. 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Sun. 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. A project of the municipality of Altach, www.altach.at, and the Altacher Soireen, www.soireen.at. Admission to the exhibition is free
