In celebrating Roberto Rocca Education Day, Ternium demonstrated its commitment to education by awarding 911 scholarships to students from 15 educational institutions in Mexico. The beneficiaries come from Nuevo León, Coahuila, Puebla, Michoacán, Colima and San Luis Potosí, and received the scholarships at a special event at the Roberto Rocca Technical School in Pesquería, Nuevo León.
The importance of education in the development of communities
The ceremony was presided over by several prominent personalities, including Máximo Vedoya, CEO of Ternium, and César Jiménez, President of Ternium Mexico. During his speech, Jiménez stressed the importance of education for the development of children and young people, while Vedoya highlighted the role that education plays in the transformation of a country.
The event was attended by Nacho Llantada, vocalist of Los Claxons, who gave a motivational talk and advised students on the importance of effort and work. Additionally, Roberto Rocca scholarship recipients shared their inspiring stories and how this support will help them achieve their goals.

The Roberto Rocca Education Day is part of Ternium’s broader commitment to education, as the company views education as the key to individual and societal progress. Through its Roberto Rocca Scholarship Program, Ternium has benefited more than 6,000 students in the last 18 years.
