Prince of Persia Presents New Series with 2.5D Format – The Lost Crown

Departing from a franchise that had a crucial status and role for Ubisoft’s growth and development in the past, to a name that is increasingly being forgotten, what happened to Prince of Persia is indeed very unfortunate. Too much focus on Assassin’s Creed which must be admitted shares almost the same DNA but with sales that are even more fantastic, at least Ubisoft is still showing an effort to restore this name to the surface. One of them? Through the latest series – The Lost Crown.

Amid feelings of pessimism due to the behind-the-scenes process of developing the Sands of Time Remake series, gamers who are lovers of Prince of Persia suddenly got a breath of fresh air at the Summer Games Fest 2023 event this morning. Ubisoft has actually prepared a new series in 2.5D format with side-scrolling style which they call Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. The setting itself is designed to have a stronger mythological atmosphere.

2.5D style, Ubisoft announced a new series – Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.

In this series, you will play a character named Sargon, a young member of The Immortals. Ordered to save a prince named Ghassan, you must adventure through Mount Qaf which is now full of threats and cursed. As can be predicted, Sargon will also make time a major force with a gameplay structure that is now leaning more towards Metroidvania.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will be released on January 18, 2024 for Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and of course – PC. What do you think? Interesting?
