Dear reader,
On warm summer days, people croak not only during the day, but also at night. I just recently found out. And I don’t mean any tireless party-goers, I mean frogs. The male tree frog is particularly loud
and marsh, water or pond frog, it is said.
Whatever specimen it is, hiding behind a hedge in a neighborhood body of water, it prefers dawn to use its burping calls to defend its territory or to impress a female. I hope for his early success!
Incidentally, some frogs can chirp like birds, buzz like crickets, and some even cackle like chickens – such as the “narrow-mouthed frog” from Madagascar. However, it’s hard to say if chicken cackling would be any better to take on a Sunday morning at 5am.
In any case, the animal world is always good for surprises, although sometimes bad ones:
But the fact that people are at each other’s throats because of animal legacies is a further escalation level:
The short fuse is certainly also related to the increasing heat. Therefore, one should be prepared and know where to cool the heated mind in the event of:
And, important: Don’t go completely crazy and just jump into the right cool water!
A nice idea of how to relax people is back in Offenbach this summer, there are pianos in the city center that want to be played:
If you get your garden or balcony to bloom in a way that is insect-friendly and climate-adapted despite the ever-changing heat records, you can take part in a competition:
If you want to party for three days despite the heat and, like some frogs, want to turn night into day, you should quickly secure one of the remaining tickets for Germany’s largest club festival in the Frankfurt stadium:
I sincerely wish all frogmen that they successfully drove off their rivals at the weekend or that the frog woman they adored heard them.
On behalf of the editorial team, I wish you a lot of fun with your projects and, of course, with reading our media products
