Sunil Gavaskar Blames Kohli’s Mistake for WTC Final Dismissal

Kohli was dismissed by Steve Smith with a brilliant catch in the slips on Mitchell Starc’s unexpected bouncer. But former Indian player Sunil Gavaskar has opined that it was not an unplayable ball and Kohli’s mistake was the cause of his dismissal.

Two bouncers are now allowed per over. That is why many bowlers do not attempt bouncers. With this, batsmen are playing shots on the front foot. The fact is that if you play with your front foot forward before you bowl, you are locked into your position.
