David De Gea bombarded with criticism and deemed inappropriate to continue at Manchester United. MU coach Benny McCarthy called the criticism weak.
De Gea has often been criticized at Manchester United, including in the 2022/2023 season. The critics were also unsparing, from former MU players themselves such as Roy Keane and Gary Neville.

“But I spend every day with him and he is an extraordinary person, a good player, very clever and one of the best goalkeepers I have ever seen. It would be a crime if Man United lost a goalkeeper like David de Gea,” he added.
