Tupac Shakur is one of the most famous rappers of all time, and it may therefore seem surprising that he has just received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Yesterday, June 7, Shakur’s sister represented her late brother when he received his posthumous star. “Tupac knew deep down that he was always meant for something big”, she said. “From the first time he set foot on the stage at the Apollo Theater at 13, before anyone recognized his name, he knew he had a dream to get a star here on the Walk of Fame.”
Shakur sadly lost his life at the age of 25 in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas. The crime has never been solved, leading to several conspiracy theories over the years, including some who claim the rapper is actually alive.
