Marieta Georgieva Appointed Deputy Minister of Education and Science

By order of the Prime Minister Academician Nikolay Denkov, Marieta Georgieva was appointed Deputy Minister of Education and Science, the Council of Ministers announced.

Mrs. Georgieva holds this position for the second time, having held the same position in 2022. She has extensive professional experience in the field of education.

For more than 20 years, he has been the director of the Professional High School “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” in Vidin. She was also a teacher at the local center of the New Bulgarian University in the same city. In the period from 2012 to 2015, he worked as a national expert on the European recommendation for credit transfer in vocational education and training (ECVET) at the Center for Human Resources Development.

He is a mechanical engineer by education with a diploma from the Technical University in Sofia. She also graduated in mathematics and informatics at the University of St. Kliment Ohridski”.

He has a master’s degree in educational management from the Neophyt Rilski University of Applied Sciences. She has gone through numerous additional qualifications. Marieta Georgieva is a two-time recipient of the honorary award of the MES “Neofit Rilski” for overall highly professional activity in the education system.
