Shannen Doherty’s Breast Cancer Spreads to Brain: Actress Shares Radiation Treatment on Instagram

At Shannen Doherty, known for the series, among other things Charmed, the breast cancer has spread to her brain. The 52-year-old actress shares Instagram a video of her being irradiated.

Doherty writes that she started radiation treatments in January. “Of course I am very scared. I am claustrophobic (the radiation treatments take place in a narrow device, ed.) And a lot is happening in my life.”

The cancer diagnosis was for the Charmedactress one of the reasons for being in the movie Breast Cancer Bucket List (2021) to play. The actress also works on other projects for that film and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Since her diagnosis in 2015, Doherty has spoken openly about her illness on social media. In 2017 she was told that there were no traces of cancer left in her body and that she was in remission. Two years later, the disease appeared to have returned.
